Galileo’s multidisciplinary team of designers, structure engineers and tire experts work tirelessly to change off-road mobility as we know it and offer heavy drivers the best tires possible.

Alon Hayka – CEO and Co-Founder

Over the past 20 years Alon managed several successful start-ups. During that time he raised funds in private and public offerings and built a world-wide network for product marketing and sales. Alon holds a Masters degree in economics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

“Unlike standard radials, the GalileoWheel tire is able to alter its geometry. The new geometry provides significant increase in ground contact area. And unlike tracks and radial tires, the Galileo Wheel tire evenly distributes the machine’s weight on the ground. Combined with its larger footprint, this means  major reduction of ground compaction. This evolution of the tire is closing the gap between stability and comfort in the agriculture market, but obviously this will be useful in many other areas, including forestry,construction, mining, military applications, and of course off-road vehicles for the consumer market which will be our next focus.”

Yanir Schneider CPA – CFO

Over the past 3 years Yanir led the finance team of IBID Holdings, a software oriented investment group. During Yanir’s time in IBID, the group’s annual turnover grew from 20M EUR to 100M EUR, total  headcount reached 500 and the operations expanded across 10 jurisdictions globally. Previous experience at Analyst IMS, PwC advisory, Prof. Itzhak Swary & Co., Ascola.B.A. in accounting and economics and an MBA in strategy and entrepreneurship from Tel Aviv University.

Avishay Novoplanski – CTO, designer, Co-Founder

The inventor of Galileo’s breakthrough technology and the CupWheel, Avishay Novoplanski. It took him 8 years of R&D to bring proof of concept to market.  Avishay is a passionate and innovative thinker. He is a graduate in Design Engineering from Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. Previously, developing several extraordinary technologies including a unique stair climbing wheelchair and a military robot. “The CupWheel is just the beginning for what I have planned for the industry. I want to bring to market more efficient and productive technology to meet the dynamic demands in agriculture, forestry, mining and military.” he says. 

Dr. Lucy Edery-Azulay – R&D Manager

Dr. Edery-Azulay holds a PhD form the Aerospace Engineering faculty at the Technion, IIT, where she was also a lecturer and assistant professor. Over the past 20 years Lucy founded, lead and managed structural analysis groups for various industrial projects, she managed the research staff from concept, through development to practical implementations. As the R&D manager of Galileo she established a computational infrastructure to predict and approve the CupWheel behavior before and after production. She establishes and initiates structural solutions to improve the CupWheel behavior and adapt it to meet with customer equipment operational requirements.

Michael Gelbman – VP Sales North America

Being in the tire industry for over 30 years, Mike has extensive sales, operations and managerial experience globally, with emphasis in launching new products and distribution networks in new markets with Merchants as div manager, Galaxy Tire as EU sales director, and GPX International as EMEA business development manager. Andrew Mabin – VP Business Development Europe/OE

If anyone knows his wheels and tires it’s Andrew. He has been in the tire and automotive business since 1977. He began his career in sales at Michelin and after 12 successful years moved to Lex Vehicle Leasing, Bandag AG and the Continental Tyre Group. As a board member and Sales and Marketing Director for Mitas he led the transition to overtake Continental as the premium tire brand in the UK. Most recently, he served as Regional Sales Director Europe; Russia before joining Trelleborg Wheel Systems North and Central America as President.

Rami Einav – Marketing & Sales Director Europe

Rami Einav has been in the tire and automotive business on and off since 1991. He began his career as Head of Marketing and Sales Division of Alliance with over $130 Million sales of high quality tires to the local and export markets (70% export).   Director in the company’s` subsidiaries in Germany, USA and Israel. In 2004 Rami has returned to Alliance and has managed to increase sales in Europe from 60 to 140 Million Euros within 5 years. Sales to the replacement and OEM markets (55% OE) of Off Hi-Way tires.
